Daniel is recognized as a pioneer of the Asia Pacific’s fast-growing cruise industry. With more than 20 years’ experience in shipping and cruise lines, he is a respected industry veteran who has worked with a broad range of vessels and projects from cruises to tourism.
A founder of the Oceanic Group which has operations in China, Hong Kong and Singapore, Daniel has advised many cruise lines from start up stage to onboard operations and general management. Oceanic Group, where he serves as Managing Director, was established with the mission of tapping into the burgeoning Asia Pacific demand for more specialized cruise products as well as leisure and related services.
He was previously Managing Director of Asia Pacific operations for Silversea Cruises, a luxury cruise line which only operates all-suite vessels. Daniel was given marketing responsibility for all Asia Pacific countries excluding Japan, Australia and New Zealand for three years from 2002.
Prior to that, Daniel was Managing Director of the Asia Pacific operations of V. Ships, one of the world’s largest ship management companies which had multi-disciplinary shipping and cruise activities in the region, from 1996 to 2009. Daniel had been Managing Director of Cruise Lines International (S) Pte Ltd which was appointed agent for Silversea Cruises, Radisson Seven Sea Cruises and Disney Cruise Lines from 1994 until it was acquired by V. Ships in 1996.
In 1992, he was appointed as Managing Director of Lines International Holding (S) Pte Ltd, the company that chartered, operated and marketed the Crown Monarch to local Singapore and regional markets. The company specialized in short cruises and the incentive market.
Daniel joined Petagamas Maritime Services in 1989 as a marketing executive and rapidly rose to become the General Manager of its subsidiary, Andaman Cruises Pte Ltd. During his tenure, he oversaw the marketing, operations and incentive travel elements of the cruise ship, MV Andaman Princess, in South East Asia. Daniel holds a Master of Business Administration from Macquarie University, Sydney. He has served as a member of the Singapore Shipping Association, Services Sub Committee for the Registry of Accredited Shipping Agents in 1998 and 2009, as well being as a member of the National Association for Travel Agents Singapore’s Committee for Information Technology and Human Resource Development in 1998. He is a regular speaker at the Seatrade Asia Pacific Cruise Convention. Daniel served as a member of the Singapore Tourism Board Post-SARS Tourism Recovery Committee from 2001 to 2002. He has been a member of the Singapore Institute of Directors since 2001 and also an Educator (Consultant) with Gerson Lehrman Consulting Group since 2000 to present. Daniel is also a member of the Zheng Dang University (Shanghai) academic committee for cruising education and training.

Jessica was appointed Finance and Administration Manager by V.Ships Asia Pacific,a cruise and travel, ship management and shipping agent company, from 1996 to 2000. She left for Shanghai for three years and with V.Ships again from 2003 to 2009. She joined us in 2011 and her duties and responsibilities have since been expanded to include management of the Group’s finance and the whole spectrum of accounting activities. In 1986, she obtained her ACA professional qualification and FCA and CPA in 1989. She earned her Masters in Business Administration MBA in 1993. Jessica has more than 20 years of accounting and finance experience in the shipping industries, working in companies ranging from shipowners, shipping agents, ship management, cruise and travel.
